What is Life of Brian about?

 Monty Python's Life of Brian (1979) follows the story of a young Jewish boy who coincidentally was born on the same day as Jesus, just one stall down. Brian becomes infatuated with a rebellious girl named Judith, and joins an independence group against the Romans to impress her. However, while hiding from the Romans, he speaks some of the teachings he's heard from Jesus, which ends up creating a large crowd that believe he is the Messiah. While trying to run from the crowd of newfound followers and reunite with Judith, he embarks on a ridiculous trip of random adventures. By the end, he gets caught by the Romans and is forced to get crucified with the rest of the Jewish people.
